Giving things a second life is essential, first because it is confusing and messy to have “too many things” without using them, and second because it is fun to make something your own way. Your own creations have a more meaningful value… it has your own ID. For this opportunity I worked with a lamp. I had the two pieces of voile linen in different textures. I applied the plain one to wrap the lamp screen, then I affixed the material to it. I used the the washed wrinkle fabric to embellish the lamp with an organic flowing texture that looks like flowers.
