Boho Style. sound of beauty style Boho Style is absolutely timeless. We first saw it in the 60`s with a hippie influence and since then it is known by  flowy textures and hip elements. Garments, such as dresses with movement, made of lace or colorful prints are the essentials. Jean shorts, a basic top and chunky sweater also go well with this style. Adding final touches like vintage jewelry and leather accessories make the outfit stand out in it`s total essence. I love wearing this look from day to night. Comfy, feminine and hip. Hope you guys have a great weekend! xoxo Mila (more…)

sound of beauty style 1.1 Metallic Crossroads in Downtown LA. A while ago I made this dress with this amazing metallic silk (I know I`m obsessed with metallics) in an A line shape. The A line is one of the most flattering patterns for different body shapes and sizes; it`s simple, comfortable and chic.  To make it hip I like to wear it with my classic boots and a hat, this makes the look casual yet striking. Below you can see the work "in process" of this dress. Hope you guys have awesome week! <3 (more…)

LA Fashion Week SSFW15 - Sound of Beauty Style 3 I had the pleasure of being invited to LA Fashion Week in LA Mark organized by LA Fashion Council. It was a wonderful experience to see local emerging labels / designers bring new ideas and different expressions to Fashion. Every single designer has his /her own stamp and label. The event was fun and interactive, with a warm Cali vibe yet very professional approach. Below is a description of the designers that caught my eye during the show! (more…)

25 baja logo Slow Fashion by Francisca Tuca. Fran is a very talented fashion designer from Santiago. I`m also from Chile and just came home to visit my beautiful country so we've had time to collaborate. It`s nice to see how up-and-coming designers are evolving in terms of concept and style. Francisca Tuca is a great example, her silhouettes are simple, gentle and geometric. Her manual labour is "slow fashion" which means quality over quantity with a sustainable point of view. For this spring summer collection she got inspired by east asian culture and used combinations with original shapes (like a kimono) adding a practical approach with an edgy touch. I`ve been always a fan of her designs and it`s always fun to work with her. Check out her collections on instagram and website: www.franciscatuca.com (more…)

1 Urban Cali Style, it`s all about mixing different influences in one´s style with a practical approach. Here I am at Melrose ave in LA checking out the latest fall (14-15 ) collections. This is one of the most recognized streets where you can see designer clothing brand stores such as Alberta Ferretti, Alexander Mcqueen, DVF among others. They show their fashion style and each of them have their own trademark which is spread all over the world. One of the latest trends is wearing "mesh" fabric, a knitted fabric, that has numerous spaced holes. Usually it´s worn for sporty or athletic matters, but now you can see it in moto jackets, accessories and fashionable day to day items. This purse from Zara has a mesh technique just like my moto jacket, except my jacket has subtle expressions on the sleeves. Hope you guys have a great weekend! xoxo Mila (more…)

https://soundcloud.com/10kislands/bad-wave-lookout I just found this awesome band on Soundcloud called Bad Wave. I love the beats and the song " Look Out" is just great! Bad Wave is the LA based electro-pop project of Patrick Hart and Tucker Tota. An EP of new songs is in the works, hopefully to be released in the coming months. Their sound has been likened to Phoenix, Two Door Cinema Club, and Foster the People. New band with tons of talent, check it out! : - )

8 Trendy Chic Pop Art style at Paul Smith store in LA. The first time I visited Melrose I was totally hooked by this colored wall and by the store itself! Today I`m wearing an H&M outfit, oversized white top ( size L), animal print leggings and my loyal mirrored sunglasses. The print is already the main character therefore I`m wearing basic items such as my classic black boots from Steve Madden with a black purse and golden necklace, both from BP Nordstrom. From now on you can shop my look! Below I show you the links where I bought these pieces, as well as other similar products I found online. Hope you guys have an amazing week! xoxo Mila (more…)
